This is the letter that I sent today to Senator Jeff Sessions, Senator Richard Shelby, and Congressman Jo Bonner regarding the newest healthcare bill that is going through Congress this session "The United States National Health Insurance Act" (H.R. 676)

The most recent data from the National Center for Health Statistics’ National Health Interview Survey shows the following startling facts: 

This morning, after months of negotiations, debate and filibuster threats, as well as pleas from nurses on the front lines just like you, the United States Senate passed H.R. 3590, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. By a vote of 60 to 39 (Senator Jim Bunning (R-KY) did not vote), the Senate reaffirmed what so many nurses already know: we can no longer wait for meaningful reform to our health care system that will deliver access to high-quality, cost-effective health care in our country.
