I grew up in a small town with little opportunity for personal growth. The community was very homogeneous with little, if any, cultural diversity. This all changed for me when I met and married the man who would become my children's father. Shortly after we met, he joined the military and we spent the next 13 years traveling the world while raising three children. This afforded me the opportunity to expose my children (and myself) to different ways of living and thinking. We traveled to such places as California, Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, Washington D.C., and Hawaii.
I have learned that people are the same everywhere. We all want the same things for ourselves and our children. We all love. Unifying that love is what moves mountains.
I have raised three very successful children. My oldest daughter graduated from The College of The Ozarks with a degree in accounting. She is married, and working as a stay-at-home mom for my grandson Carter. Congratulations Tabitha! My younger daughter graduated from The College of The Ozarks with a degree in elementary education. She is married, still working as a teacher, and raising my triplet grand-daughters, Lily, Emma, and Madison. Way to go Tonya! My son just graduated from high school and is "finding himself." What a fine young man he's turned out to be!
I have been a single mother since 1992. Things haven't always been easy, but at least my children and I could find the humor in life's little ups and downs (most of the time anyway). And yes, I am very proud of my children. They are all happy, healthy, productive members of society with bright futures. Isn't that what every parent dreams of?
I met Bruce Shoop in 2003 and we have been inseparable since. We married on October 14, 2006 and have founded The Green Earth Ministries in order to show a positive example and teach a healthier way of life to family and friends. We have put this website together as a forum for information dissemination and a way for our friends and family to stay current on the latest developments in holistic care. Now that this resource is available to everyone, we hope to expand our membership and show many more people how to live happier and healthier lives. As simply as possible.
I became an ordained minister on January 25, 2007. My mission here is to help everyone I encounter to live a happy, healthy life even during the stressful times that we live in today. This is all possible by making small changes. Small changes in the way you think or react to stress can have a measurable impact on your health and happiness. Small changes in the food you eat can also change the way you feel.
The "biggest" of these small changes is to focus less on changing the things you see, and instead focus on changing the way you see things.
I have faith that our world can be a better place if more people get out of their comfort zones and expose themselves to different ways of thinking and living.
Support us as we attempt to "change the world" one person at time, starting with you!
Peace and Love,
Brenda
