You will need:
8 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked according to package directions, drained
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1 1/2 cups milk
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
Paprika
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease 2-quart casserole dish.
Spread 1/3 of macaroni in bottom of casserole dish. Sprinkle with 1 cup cheese.
Repeat layers, setting aside last layer of cheese for use later.
Combine eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix with wire whip or fork until smooth. Pour over layers in casserole.
Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
Uncover and sprinkle with remaining cheese and paprika.
Re-cover, and let stand 10 minutes before serving.
Serves 6 as a side dish.
