Kitchen Time-Savers
from Aunt Bytes
The best advice I can give you about saving time in the kitchen is to make simple meals. One-dish meals, casseroles or big-pot pasta dishes can contain your meat, your vegetable and your bread, all at the same time.
Plus, there's only one container to find room for in the refrigerator AND it's a lot easier to get one dish out and reheat it. By the way, for big dishes like lasagna, I usually cut it into serving pieces and put them in smaller containers in the fridge on the top shelf, that way the leftovers are easy to see, easy to pull out, and easy to reheat, ensuring that the food will get eaten before it turns into an unwanted science project. Food wasted = money wasted = your precious time wasted!
